Shri Kshetra Ganagapur Very Famous holy place in India. This holy place was called as Dhanpur in Indian Puaranik Kal. It stands on the bank of the river Bhima in Afzalpur taluka in kalburgi district of Karnataka at south india . This holy place was created on earth by Lord dattatreya to stay abide in his Purnavtar Shri Nrusingh Swami maharaja. Shri Nrusingh Sarswati Swami maharaja as second incarnation of Bhagvan Dattarey in Kalyug . In this Village Shri Nrusingh Sarswati Swami maharaja built a Math to stay in village about 600 years ago. This Math is called as Nirgun Math today also people called Dattatreya Temple to this Math.

Shree Nrusimha Saraswathy Swamy

Second incarnation of Lord Dattatreya (1378-1458)

Datta GanagapurShree Nrusimha Saraswathy Swamy (1378-1458) is the Purna avatar of Lord Dattatreya. He was born in Karanjapur which is modern Lad-Karanja or karanja in Maharashtra Vidharbha region. Shree Nrusimha Saraswathy Swamy (Shreeguru) was initially named as Narahari or Shaligramadeva. His father's name was Madhav and mother's name was Amba-Bhavani. His surname was Kale. He was born in a Deshastha Brahmin family Shulka-yajurvedi Brahman Kanva Shaka at Karanja Shreeguru assured that he would forever abide at Ganagapur and go round the village for ‘Biksha’ at 12:00 noon. Offering “Madhukari” to the people at Ganagapur and taking Biksha from atleast 5 houses is having very importance at this holy place. Even today Lord Dattatreya takes biksha everyday at Ganagapur. ShreeGuru "Sri Nrusimha Saraswathy" confirmed the same and it can be seen in Gurucharitra Adhyay (chapter 21-22) At the time of Antardhan, Shreeguru said to the disciples and citizens of Ganagapur as follows: Vasathi Rani Sangamase Jate Nithya Bikshese Taya Vare Ganagapurase Madhyana Kaala Pareyasa "You need not worry. I shall stay at this Ganagapur kshetra secretly. I shall have bath at the Bheema-Amaraja Sangam river in the morning. In the mid day, I shall come to Ganagapur mutt and accept Biksha in this village and accept your pooja and devotional services. From the view point of the public, I am going away from this place. My living presence will be experienced by any one who bathes in the Bheema-Amaraja Sangam and takes darshan of my Padukas here. I will receive poojas at this Kshetra in the form of Padukas”. The Padukas of shreeguru Shree Nrusimha Saraswathy Swamy at this place are “Nirguna Padukas" Shreeguru has been blessing his devotees with his divine acts on countless occassions. The aspirations of Datta devotees who worship him at Ganagapur Kshetra with true love, faith and dedication will be fulfilled. The miraculous experiences of such will ever remain hidden in the devotees own hearts. This is true even today also and devotees are getting experiences of Lord Datta’s presence at Ganagapur Kshetra. Mentally retarded people and people who are suffering from chronic deceases are coming to this place and getting cured from their sad feelings. The trouble of spirits and ghosts vanishes and one can get peace of mind with the darshan of Swamy Padukas at this Kshetra.

Shripad Shri Vallabha

Incarnation of Lord Dattatreya (1320-1350)

Datta GanagapurShriPaadha ShriVallabha श्रीपाद श्रीवल्लभ (Telugu: శ్రీ పాద శ్రీ వల్లభ)(ShriPaadha ShriVallabha) is considered as one of the Avatars (incarnations) of the deity Shri Dattaatreya in kaliyuga. As per some of the experts, he is supposed to have lived from 1320 AD to 1350 AD. He was born in Pitaapuram. Though a sketchy information was available about his life from the book Shri GuruCharithra written by Shri Saraswati Gangadhar in Marathi around 1450 AD, which was later translated in Telugu by Brahmasri Pannala VenkatadriBattu Sarma in Pitaapuram. Later in November 2001, a full book of 53 Chapters on the Life of SripadaVallabha was brought out by a pious devotee by name Malladi Govinda Deekshitulu belonging to the Lineage of Maternal Grandfather of Sripada SriVallabha. This book of various episodes on the life of SriPada is claimed to be written by One Kannada Devotee Shankar Bhat in the book itself, (supposedly contemporary of Sri Pada Sri Vallbha) recording his various encounters with miracles witnessed by himself and by those whom he came in contact with. The publishers claim that this book has been preserved as secret for 32 Generations of Sripada's maternal side before Publishing in November 2001 after receiving a message from Divine to disclose it. Authenticity of the claims has not been verified. The original manuscript has also been not recovered as they say it was all supposedly destroyed. At present, Telugu (translation from Sanskrit version), Marathi and English are available at Sripada Shrivallabha Mahasansthan/Pitaapuram. Kannada translation by name 'Sripada srivallbhara divya charithamrutha'(published and distributed by sri guru kanneswara swami dattavadhoota ashram at srikshetra, village Dodderi, challakere Thaluk, Chitradurga district) is also available.
